6.5x47 subsonic?

My nearest neighbour is a kilometre away and I don't really like letting too many rounds go because I know they can hear me, but I'd like to be able to do some live fire practice as well as dry firing.
The only info I've been able to come up with online for subs is using heavy bullets.
Can I use a lighter and cheaper bullet?
