6.5x47Lapua Necked to .22 Cal ?

Anyone run this combination and is it more accurate and efficicient round than the 22/250 rem ?

I understand. I'm just asking why anyone would want that bad of a barrel burner. IMO it's already hard in barrels then you neck it down it's only going to get worse. Not to mention in order to get the most out of it you will be seperating bullets.

Faster isn't always better IMO

Well, I say why not. Is the .22/250 a barrel burner? Yes, it can be in prairie dog town - as a coyote or chuck rifle, not so much. The .22x47 is gonna hit right in the .22/250 capacity range. Here is a link to blurb:

I built one and get great accuracy and an easy 3,200 fps out of 80 g JLKs. It is a very easy round to load for and had no problems. About 1,200 rounds and no loss of accuracy.

For dies I just used Redding 6.5 x 47 Lapua bushing dies and stepped the neck down in three passes.
