6.8 and 308 Ammo

Just wondering where the best place to find ammo for a 6.8 spc or 308. About to get a thermal for hogs and need some ammo for either of my ARs.

308 is impossible to find where I live. Nor is it available online, so I started reloading. Actually gonna keep me busy when it's too cold to shoot!

Interesting, I did not know that Nosler bought out SSA. They used to load some fairly hot 6.8 specifically for the SPC II chamber.

6.8 has been damn near impossible to find online. There are a few offerings available now from ammoseek but none that I would use for hunting. I would check wilson combat (expensive but good loads) or Druid Hill Armory for 6.8. I believe he has 110g Sierra Pro Hunter loaded up at decent prices and in bulk but I have not hear good reports back from hog hunting on them.

In a pinch I would buy these from WC to hunt with. Not cheap but better than not hunting and they will do the job.

I've heard since that they have slowed way down. "Underpowered" is the term that comes up most now.
