What are you guys seeing for neck length on your 6 dashers? I have fireformed some with the jam method and I’m getting a .223-.227 neck length and an oal in the 1.541-1.543 range.

I ordered some hydroform brass from DJ’s awhile back and after being fired once I’m seeing a .212-.215 neck length and an oal of 1.528-1.530. The necks on the dj brass visibly look shorter so I started researching it more and that seems to be shorter than anything I’ve found for 6 dasher dimension wise.

My question is are those numbers typical for hydroform 6 dasher brass?

The hydroformed brass I have seen isn't all that good.
15 grains of Red Dot a case full of Tapioca pudding and a false shoulder to keep the case from moving forward in the chamber should get you better results.
I use a small amount of imperial sizing die wax on my cases before fireforming using Tapioca or cream of wheat.
Without the false shoulder you are relying on the extractor to keep the case from moving forward and it produces so so results as well.

I hydroformed 300 Lapua using the Whidden die. Most (unfired) measure ~70 were 1.5395-1.5405, ~60 were 1.5375-1.5390, remaining are 1.5410-1.5460. I am trimming the >1.5410 to 1.5410 to allow for proper final expansion.
