What would a starting point be for a 600 yard load for a 308.
Rem. 700 .308 SPS tactical 20" bbl.
Wanting to mag feed as well.

Are you looking any one specific projectile or powders, this will limit the variables.
Also if you check out the load depot on the forum, you might find someone with the same rig as yours, and could possibly get some insight on what you want to use.
other than that it will depend on what you plan on shooting, steel, paper...

I'm shooting 168 Amax's with 4064
My 20"'r likes 43.75gr of 4064, RP Brass, and 168 Amax's @ 2.800 Overall. CCI #200 primers.
This is not a hot load, speeds are in the 2625fps realm and it is a hammer at 600yd.
