i got a box of these yesterday, tried them out in my new marlin xt heavy barrel and they shoot hole in hole at 25yds, was wondering if anyone has any info on these past 25yds,im sure they drop like an anvil past 50, also im trying to find some info on the bc of the bullet so i can put it in my ballistic calculator

Re: 60gr sniper subsonic 22lr

You should see them in a purpose built, 1-9 twist rifle.

As I understand it, these were the brain child/request of a certain military unit that needed something to quietly put down dogs, before taking down an urban target (dirt belt region of the world). IIRC, Hakko (sp?) made a run of scopes with the reticle calibrated for the drop (and yes it is severe). The maker of this ammo still has a couple of the rifles/scopes in their ballistics lab for testing.

Re: 60gr sniper subsonic 22lr

If your talking about the Augila's ?
They zing out there pretty good for a .22 subsonic round..my Supressed Mosquito loves them and I shoot them more than I do Std. .22 ammo out of my other guns
I gave a box to my Father in Law and now thats pretty much all he will shoot now

I may have to try these. I also have a Suppressed Mosquito, but it is one picky ass gun. The only ammo it seems to digest is CCi mini mags. Most others will misfire. I have tried both springs in the gun and it does not seem to make any difference.

Re: 60gr sniper subsonic 22lr

sadly the mosquito is about the only thing Sig makes that is garbage. with a 1:9 twist barrel it rainbows them out to 300 with ease. im tempted to buy a 9 twist barrel and suppress it but most of them are sold by the really high end makers for 10/22 and i really dont want to drop $300 plus threading for something of a gimmick.

Re: 60gr sniper subsonic 22lr

With the 60gr. Projo it seems ( my perception ) that getting these heavier slugs to launch , helps the pistol to cycle better ?
I may be wrong about this , but my SIG runs great with them .....with or without the can attached

I also found keeping the action clean and using a light as oil possible the gun runs alot better , runs best when I only hose it down every 100rds or so with Silicon Spray that completely evaporates and no other type oil
