Good move, but porn has nothing to do with it.
What happens if you put it like this 6-9/13/59? or in Russian 13/6-9/59?

googled it, the first thing that came up was a link to this thread. then the math answer of 5.98826597.

Have not a clue, its not the cuban missle crises, or the detonation of the first soviet nuke, soooo, hell if I know.

Tip,....Brownian motion will need to be recalled as well.

Re: 69-13-59

Brownian motion. Now you've started it. How many out there are going to comment on this now? Pretty much everyone has one each day, with dozens of other names. That is a new one for me though.

Re: 69-13-59

I'm guessing this is either a ballistic reference to friction of a bullet passing through air/space/time etc or a reference to barrel wear from heat and friction of the bullet through the bore.

This is a test of my Google-Fu!

OK we're on the same page. This thread has generated some funny responses so I wont ruin the fun. Great idea for a thread.

Maybe, but Brownian motion doesn't really fit into that very nicely

Well, imagine a bullet bouncing around inside a bore as it travels along the rifling. Assuming there is not a perfect fit between the rifling and the bullet along the entire length of the bore then the bullet will oscillate I imagine. The pattern of oscillation may be Brownian. Perhaps there is some new theory of the influence of temperature on friction which negates the Brownian theorem.

Shit I don't know, I got my degree in Economics while playing rugby and earning beers by winning at table football...!

Re: 69-13-59

Not giving this one up that easy, as I believe there's another master or three within our ranks.

High Binder, may have the correct answer, but I'm waiting for one lurker to step out of the darkness, plus an old member to answer as well.

+1

Didn't understand a damn thing I read today. Or if I thought I was starting to, I kept reading, reassuring myself I didn't..

Re: 69-13-59

Gunfighter, thanks for the nudge. All joking aside, this is interesting information and my quick 'gleaning' will need to be "re-done" to actually disseminate the crux of your point.

I will get back to this later tonight/tomorrow morning.

Long weekend up here in Canuckville, and here I am checking out statistical mechanics.

Re: 69-13-59

Last hint,
"English botanist Robert Brown had noticed in 1828 that even tinier particles mixed in with the pollen exhibited an incessant, irregular "swarming" motion — since called "Brownian motion."

Any quest, is in fact not, if your ever "Given" the answer. More than 3 handfuls of Hide members have PM'ed or emailed the correct answer.

Most challenges in life are achieved via work only, hand out's should never be a reward for real life perpetration/participation.
I was taught to think for myself, an not follow the herd off the cliff, or ask/take hand out's,...
Shame those in power never learned that fact,...
