Guys, chill, got a wild hair last night at work and thought I might try a 95VLD in my Creed, they shot in the mid 3s(100yds) in my 6mmREM a few years ago., figure they should shoot better in a match barrel, hoping & praying here, but getting the bullet downrange a bit faster cant be a bad thing, either.(600yds) But if the 105HYB, VLDs, Nosler Comps & HPBT Hornadys shoot well I wont need to try the 95s.

Ive never seen that b.c. for the berger hybrids before but if it's real thats cool! When they start making 500 bullet packs coated and pointed i'll probably get some and use them.... All the info I posted were based off real numbers i've used and personal experience with dtacs and regular hybrids not second hand information from someone trying to sell a product. I hope those numbers are real! I'll get me some.

It's loaded ammo. I'm not about to pull all that to sell bullets. Call Copper Creek, he has a bunch that he doesn't use anymore since the Berger came out.

Go back and read the posts....
The 115 DTAC comes pointed from Tubb. The Berger would need to be pointed to match the condition of the DTAC. When you point the Berger its BC jumps up over the DTAC's.

I'm just saying. If you are going to quote numbers, get them right first. If you want simple I will break it down for you:

G1 BC of a 115 DTAC - .585 (these are pointed and coated from Tubb)
G1 BC of a Berger 105gr Hybrid - .594 (pointed and coated the same way)

That is simple math, the Berger wins. That's hard data from Copper Creek, I would vote to say Josh loads more of that then anyone else out there.
George Gardner who developed the 6mm Creedmoor will even agree the 105 out performs the 115. Hell, I have 115 loads that are collecting dust since the hybrid came out!

I just want people to have the facts. And this is all factual information from Ballistic and C4.

I was told that is the number he received from Ballistic when he plugs the numbers in. I also agree, its the go to bullet for anything 6mm. There is a good reason the 105gr class so successful and probably also why you don't hear much about the 115 DTAC anymore.

So can I run a slow burning powder in the Creedmoor and get the correct velocity AND benefit from extended barrel life like the Competition Match, or is the Creedmoor not capable of this? Meaning I have to run a fast burning powder in the Creedmoor.

If you run h1000 or a comparable powder the creedmoor you won't be getting much velocity compared to the comp match with equal barrel lengths and bullets. Thats from what i've read.... There's no way to know for sure until you try them both yourself or see it in person.

I'm just commenting but I tried H-1000 in my 6x47L. The case is small enough that I couldn't get the speed with H-1000 and the ES was poor. Might be similar with 6 Creed, don't know???

H-4831 turned out fine, it's as slow a powder that'll work with good results in 6x47. Probably with 6 Creed also???
