6Dasher seems fast for load?

So I’m developing my first 6Dasher load on a proof barrel. Using Berger 108 hybrid target bullets, over 31.5grs of VARGET with Apha brass I’m seeing around 2900fps. I’m not complaining because it’s printing 1 hole 5 shot groups around .3 MOA.
My question is, is this speed unusual? Most everything I see from this combo is around 2850. That’s what my barrel shot for the first 100 rounds before speeding up to 2900. Just curious.

Im loading 108eld and 106 tap in alpha with 30.5 of varget and cci 450's i average 2750 but this barrel has 1600 rounds and all my brass has at least 8 firings on it.
I do know my lot of varget is slower then my buddies lot of varget. He loads the exact same and gets 2820-2840 average.

I have 3 dasher barrels in rotation right now, all firing 105’s and one of them shoots noticeably better at 2880-2900.

I’d try loading it lighter though like @spife7980 says. You’ll probably find a longer lasting load even if it’s a tiny bit larger group. My other two barrels are low 2800s and they are hammers.

I load 31.0gr under 105s out of 28" barrels and yield 2870-2880fps, so I think you are where you should be @31.5 (26-28" barrel with #450s/BR-4s?), even with the nominally heavier BT bullet.

I wish the Garmin app let us add all the custom fields for loads like the old-school Pro CX chrono and I could dig out some load data with that combo more quickly.

It sounds right to me. Mine runs 105 bergers at 2830 over 31Gr of varget. I ran it a bit hotter during load development but I was able to to get single digit sd’s and a 10 es which I’ve repeated at every match when I run my chrono on the zero board with pretty repeatable .5 groups so I haven’t touched the load since.
