I'm having issues nicking down 6.5 284 Lapua brass to 6mm. I thought going from .264 to .243 could be done in one pass...but its donuting and pushing the shoulder back. I've seen a couple other threads on this with some saying to go to .257 first. I didn't want to have to buy another die...is there a better way?

4 out of 5 sized ok but hard and fit my chamber...but look at the 5th.

There are bushing style FL dies, most here use them. Your die should be able to do what youre asking. If it’s a Forster die, make sure the expander ball is well down from the neck. Out of the box the ball is up near the neck/shoulder junction. You’re using plenty of lube I take it?
