I have spent a good amount of time researching presses, dies and equipment for long range precision rifle reloading. I have an aiax that I will be reloading for and am starting with 6mm creed. I have saved money to buy a brand new setup to maximize producing consistent high quality ammo but i would like input on what items ( single stage press, dies, annealing system, and other misc. Items you would put in the lineup) that the pros are using. I'm a firm believer in you get what u pay for. I'm not looking for the fastest I'm asking for the best or most consistent. Thanks in advance

I personally went with a different approach and bought equipment as my knowledge of reloading progressed and upgraded as needed.
That has changed dramatically over nearly three decades but not as much as you might think.
A good single stage press coupled with precise powder charges is still pretty much at the heart of it all and proper sizing of the brass for each rifles chamber.
I know that sounds really basic but it's really that simple, the advancements have been in powder measures and using electronic scales to speed up the process even though I am still using a Charge master and there are faster better options out there I just don't have a need for them at the moment but I know there are better set ups.
The biggest upgrade I made was switching to a better press that was more rigid and precise but that's just my opinion and observation.

Thats great thanks. I didnt include powder measures because I'm going to be getting the best that I can afford. What press did u have and what did u switch to to get more rigidity. What dies do you like?

I used a Lee Anniversary press for years but between me and my brother using it it was basically worn out in about ten years.
I switched to an RCBS Rock chucker and was able to compare it to my brothers Hornady classic cast single stage and the Hornady progressive he had.
I have however seen a couple of threads the last couple of years about machining and finish issues with the RCBS presses mainly concerning the machine work and finish relating to the ram itself being rough finished or out of spec.
I don't think that's an issue so long as you verify it is finished properly and verify end play on the ram at full stroke.
The issues I am speaking to look like the ram has a 200lpi finish machining on the end of the ram and obviously was a QC issue.
