I'm looking for some Fl Bushing dies other than reddings I called them today and they want $148.50 just for the Fl die #77648 and another $96 for the standard seater. I emailed Hornaday And they want $200 for a set with a 3-4 month wait after I send them 3 fire formed brass? I just called forester and left a message but they havn't got back to me. I know sinclair has 6mm dasher dies on hand from forester but my smith wants me to use bushing dies. Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do??? Or does anybody know if the forester dies on sinclair are bushing dies??? Any help would be great Thanks!!!

Re: 6mm Dasher Dies

The Dasher is a wildcat caliber, so you won't find the $30 die set. IMO, Redding is going to be your best bet. They make very good dies. I'll call and see what my dealer price is for you, and see if that helps.
Also, you could use a 6mmBR seater. That is more common, and should be less.

Re: 6mm Dasher Dies

I think the question is, do you want to shoot, or do you want to wait? With all due respect to your smith, he doesn't have your problems.

The world is not going to end because you disobey your smith's wishes about bushing dies. Other types of dies, including regular old F/L dies with resizer balls, when used properly, will make very good ammo despite their failure to meet with your smith's approval.

I say, go with what you can get until you can get what the smith approves.

When you do get them, there's no small likelihood you won't be able to see a significact difference on the target; the primary difference would likely be a matter of brass life.

Is this a no-turn neck chamber or are you turning necks? If a no-turn then the regular Forster sizing die is fine. I use the Forster fl sizing and ultra seater which is $95 from Sinclair for the set. Turns out great ammo!

Re: 6mm Dasher Dies

you can buy the whole wilson dies and press for under 250, and that includes the $100 press. it is at sinclairs and they are great dies infact in my mind probably one of the best.
