Looking for either a gunsmith that has the reamer to do the work for me, or someone that has a reamer so my smith could do it. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think the Precision Shooting article said that Dave Kiff can supply reamers, you might try calling PTG.

I've got Fred @ Sabreco building me a DPMS LR Krieger barrel in 6 Super LR, but I've had it ordered since November, still waiting on the barrel from Krieger.

Fred wants a pretty good click to barrel a rifle. Just wish there was a way to get a reamer for chambering without having to buy a new one

Considering what you have invested in the rifle, glass, loading components, etc...
What does the 60 dollar difference between renting a reamer and buying the reamer mean? In the end you own the reamer and will get several barrels cut from it, if you don't like the caliber after all, just sell the reamer on Ebay, you'll get 80% of the cost back on it most likely.

jrbet83, Fred does great work, and it isn't cheap or super fast. He is good, service oriented and a good listener with useful suggestions. I have 2 uppers he has built & a Rem 700 223 1/8 Lilja bbl/ All shoot really well. Fred IS the gunsmith for the super LR Also, he always answers the phone and delivers on time!
