Ok, so from searching around a little yesterday I see that you have to form brass for the 6x47 from something else. I also found that there are like 3 or so different 6x47 chamberings and so trying to find good info is a little bit of a challenge.

From what I saw it looks like most people use 6.5x47 Lapua brass and just run it through a Forster full length sizer. However, It seems that most places are out of stock on the 6.5 brass. What I was wondering about is whether .243win brass could be used?

The other thing i was curious about is if a 6x47L could have the chamber re-reamed to .243win (just to simplify things a little)?

Thanks,
Frank

Re: 6x47Lapua brass?

To make 6x47 Lapua you need to use 6.5x47 lapua brass, there are other 6x47 but they are totally different. Just use lapua brass it is the best brass you can buy.

You can rechamber to 243win.
