7-08 barrel life

Hey all I am tossing around the idea of having a 7-08 barrel put together for my AIAX, this barrel would be used mostly for training and plinking shooting the 162gr ELD-match bullets.
My question is what kind of useable round count could I expect out of this combo?

From what I have seen it should be 4K+.

I am toying with the same idea.

I was reading about a caliber called 7mm SAW. It is a one step form from 308 Palma brass. Supposedly can get velocities on par with 7-08 AI without fireforming.

GGK I was just reading about that today as well. Looks like a pretty cool option.
