I'm a newbie interested in getting into long range shooing. And while I'm waiting for a barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor, I thought I might pick up something cheap that I can not only shoot now and use it for parts once my barrel arrives. Since the 7.08 is based off the .308 cartridge, I thought it might be something fun to shoot in the interim. Anyone know of reason why my idea might not work?

If your factory barrel is a shooter, you could also have a 'smith punch it out to .284 Win.
