44.5gr of r17 with 308 lapua brass and wolf primers yeilds 2725 out of my rifle. Out of my rifle I have had better luck putting them in the lands whether they are 168jlks, 175smk's, or 180 bergers.
Hit pressure too early with varget, R19 does well but is heavily compressed, r17 seems to be about the right burn rate, H4350 ought to be good as well however I have yet to use it.

I have a good amount of Varget so I was planning on trying it first.
I also have a little W760 I would like to try.
Hopefully I can pick up a pound of RL17 somewhere.

A friend of mine has been using IMR4007 with different weight bullets and he is saying that the 4007 is the best powder he has used so far in the 7mm08. He shoots long range matches. I've never shot anything heavier than 140's just for hunting and H414 does real good.
