Gunsmithing 7 mm savage

Got a deal going on a savage 110 in 7mm mag. Question is can i change the bolt head and barrel to 308? It is an older model 10 yrs or older.

Absolutely.....Running an older 110 .....was 30-06......now switch barrel 308, 243.

Change bolt head and barrel.

The magazine follower and bolt stop will also need to be changed! But they are cheap.

I may be having a brain fart at the moment but isnt the bolt face the same on the 7mm rem and 308?

No, 7mm mag is .532 and .308 is .473. Easy swap on a savage though.
