I’m looking for some guidance on a load for the 180grain eldm. I have tried the hybrid 100v at 60.0 grains but was not to happy with the extreme spread just looking for some help with other powders or starting points. Gun is a Remington 700 26” barrel 1-8 twist 3.290 coal

The Hodgden's website lists the following below. Did you work your way up in incremental grains and check your nodes? I use H1000 and have good results. I have not tried Hybrid 100V.

Yes I worked the ladder and had no over pressure signs at 60. I will do that what grain are you running with h1000
I shoot 168 VLDs (66 gr) so my load wouldn't apply. I'd consult Hodgden' s website and begin there.
My load for the 180 eld-m is 68.5 grains of Retumbo in Winchester brass at 3.450. That is about .020 off the lands and 2950 fps in a 26" Mullerworks.
I would seat it out as far as my lands would allow. 3.290 is stuffing a lot of bullet in the case. Also, start lower and work up.
