7 SAUM - 18” Barrel

I am thinking about building a hunting rifle in 7mm SAUM. I have been seeing a lot of people claiming 18” is the way to go. Seems very short. Does anyone have MVs from an 18”?

Try the reloading section. Tons of data there but most probably not sub 10"

Bank on 20-25fps per inch. Puts you at 120-150fps below published load data.

My 24" 7 SAUM is running about 2900 fps. If we drop the 150 fps as stated above, 2750 fps, I think that would be super cool and a handy rifle for hunting.
