7 WSM-180 gr. Berger

Re: 7 WSM-180 gr. Berger

I have a GAP 7 WSM that likes 62.9grs H4831SC, Rem 9 1/2Mag primer & either 180 Berger's or JLK's. While this well in my rifle please work up to this load. Big difference in 62.5 to 62.9 in my rifle. I have a good supply of 130gr SMK's which I decided to try. 70.0grs of Retumbo worked very well.

What speeds are you getting with 62.5 and 62.9? also what barrel length and twist?

Re: 7 WSM-180 gr. Berger

Too Tall,

I've used IMR4831, H4831 and H4831x, H1000x Re -19, Re-22, Re-25, Magpro, and AA8700. Of all of them my best results are with the H1000x. That is with Fed 215m primers. Average 2830 with both Berger and JLK 180's.

Too Tall,

No, but it would probably work better than H1000 for the 180's. The RL-25 didn't give me as much speed as the H1000. Too low initial pressure. {Edited: listed the wrong poweder/bullet weight combo}
