Could someone who has a good updated reloading book tell me what listed start and max is for H1000 in 7WSM with 180 berger vld or hybrids. Any help would be appreciated. Also if anyone is running this combo feel free to chime as I will be glad to take any help I can get. Thanks.

The Berger reloading manual gives a starting load of 63.0 and a max of 66.4 grains for H1000 and their 180 grain bullets in the 7wsm.

Yeah I am running a defiance short action and have no plans of mag feeding. Got some test loads loaded up but that stupid thing called work keeps getting in the way of the important stuff. Have any of u shooting the 180 hybrids noticed anything as far as seating depth that they prefer? What jump are y'all running? Or jammed?

I shoot a saum instead of wsm, but have shot the hybrids for over 3 years. With a new chamber, 5-.010" off the lands usually will work. I'm on my 5th barrel. After some throat erosion, the spectrum opens up considerably, and you may find it shoots wherever you place them.

My 7WSM loves them .020" jump.

Appreciate it. I have done a good bit of research and cant find a lot of info, is it maybe H1000 not being a good powder choice? I just have a good bit of H1000 not being used and would love to make it work. I also have a 300 WSM and wanted to shoot 208 amax in it and was trying to find out if H1000 would work in it but seems no one is running that combo. Is H1000 perhaps little on slow side for the WSM cartridge.

Appreciate the link. Lot of usefull load help for the 7 WSM. I guess I am going to switch powder from 300 WSM looks like no one is using that powder with the 300. Figured that if that powder was good enough for a 7 WSM that it would surely work in the 300 as well. Appreciate all the help.

H1000 is my go to powder for 7wsm. I have a long action with 28" barrel. Here is my load data:
180gr Berger Hybrids pointed
COAL 3.209"
OAL to ogive 2.696"
66.7gr H1000
Winchester brass neck turned, 237gr wt
CCI BR2

Getting 3048fps at 40F and confirmed velocity with DOPE out pass 1800 yds
