700 5-r gen 2

Was told that the 700 5-r gen 2 had a extraction problem.
anyone have this issue.

I have a 300WM and it has extractor issues. I need to get it replaced with a sako or m16 style. It just leaves fired rounds in the barrel and won't "grab" them and pull them out no matter how many times I try with the bolt. Have to get a cleaning rod and tap it out. It isn't hard, they arent stuck in there but you just have to tap it with a cleaning rod and it falls out. It happens once the barrel warms up, first 5-10 rounds are fine. After that it happens pretty frequently.

Sounds like you have a chamber issue. How does the brass look?
Nothing wrong with replacing the extractor. Go with the m16.

Brass looks fine, no marks anywhere on it.
