Gunsmithing 700 action mod for Morta mags

I hope someone can help, I think I saw a thread on this but can't seem to find it now.

Has anyone done the feed ramp modification to a 700 action to aid in the feeding from a Morta magazine. I'm not sure if this mod will solve the problems I am encoring and would like to see what others have done.

what are your feeding problems? are your rounds moving forward and the bullet tips getting caught under the feed ramp?

if so, or to load to a longer oal, i take a 1/4" endmill and plunge half the diameter off of the feed ramp. this allows 2.94"+ of oal from a modified aics magazine. i <span style="font-style: italic">think</span> the morta mag will allow this oal without modification but i have not used one yet.

this is a stiller action but a remington would be the same.

Yeah, that was the problem I was having. AICS mags ran great, so I decided to just stick with those instead. I'm just not comfortable modifying my action when I know it works fine with my current setup. Thanks for the pics, that is what I wanted to see.
