Hey all,

I have a Savage 93r17 that takes 1/4x28" thread pitch action screws. The screws need to be flat head as the trigger guard and other bottom metal piece from DIP are not counter-sunk for the slanted R700 action screws.

The problem that I am having is finding the correct length. I bedding in pillars so the screws are needing to be 1 1/2" length. I found these B-square ones but Brownells doesn't list the length or the thread pitch. These are exactly what I need if they are 1 1/2" long and 1/4x28" pitch. Has anyone used these and can measure out the length or point me in another direction for what I need? Thanks guys!

OK that was really weird. Never seen a browser have an incorrectly cached site when you've never visited it before but whatever...

So a pack of 25 for $12. I'll have to keep some handy in case anyone else decides to pillar bed a Savage 93.

My local hardware store has 1/4x28 stainless screws and Allen heads. I keep a handful in a hardware drawer, just for these kinds of things. Use one long enough, and cut to fit, clean up threads with thread file, good to go. If you find a source local to you, do the same, I find that if I need a bolt one day, I'll probably need more like it in the future. Bought a cheap metal and plastic drawer/organizer to store them in.

When you make up or buy pillars, make extra, throw in drawer.

I clicked on your link, then clicked on Q&A on the Brownell page for the Rem screws. It says"A:
1/4" - 28 1.71 OAL 0.575" threaded; 1/4" - 28 OAL1.226" entirely threaded; 8 - 36 OAL 1.588" 1.111" threaded - all nominal. OAL includes the bolt head.
Hope this helps
