Hello, This is my first post on the forum.

I have a Remington 7mm mag Older style bdl that has had a aftermarket trigger installed from the previos owner which only shot a few rounds through it and decided to sell it to me because the recoil was to much for him.

the few questions I have are:

1. Is this rifle worth upgrading with a bell and carlson medalist stock and rebarrel?

2. If I dont do the rebarrel right away, will this stock work up with the factory barrel and not look funny?" anybody have pics of something like this"?

3. There are two different versions of the stock, one for dbm and one for normal floorplate, if I get the one with normal floorplate, will I be able to install a dbm later onto the rifle?

4. If I rebarrel it, should I switch to 300wm or stay with 7mm mag? Im looking for the best long rang accuracy 1000+ yards.
I have my 308 Savage 10fcp-k for anything under 1k yards.

5. Is the Choate "tactical stock a better buy then the medalist?

Re: 700 bdl upgrade?

If you really want a DBM just get it first, you won't have to either inlet yourelf or pay some one else to inlet it, a for upgrading the stock, that is a personal choice. What will it be used for, is the stock really that uncomfortable or i it useless and ruin accuracy. I have a mcm a5 on one rifle and kept the wood on my varmint because it works and i like it. everything you aked is personal preference.
