Ok, so I have a standard remington pss with the exception of a badger muzzle break. I reload 210 bergers for it and it has always been a one hole gun at 100 yards. BUT for some reason here lately it has been all over the place. I checked out everything and all was a go as far as functionallity. I know that this has probably been posted about a million times but any thoughts as to why this is happening? by the way rings are badger rings, scope isa 6x24x50 pst. thanks

Re: 700 Police 300 win mag question

probably 400 rounds, I got a guy who can measure throat erosion. just havent taken it to that point yet. Don't get me wrong, this is only probably 10 rounds I have shot that aren't acting right. just have to dwell a little deeper i guess

I take it you have checked the torque on all base screws, action, all the obvious stuff, etc. I would bet throat erosion isn't an issue yet, however with the 300 W.M. fouling at the throat can build up rather quickly. I'd give it a good cleaning, another once over, and go from there. Keep us posted. CKruse

Re: 700 Police 300 win mag question

You need to check your throat VLD's can be quite picky about jump.If that checks out I'd guess either a loose mount or ring or the scope shit the bed.All easy enough to check just eliminate one thing at a time.

what kind of scope? could you have lost the nitrogen in it? or may be your powder if you reload i have had a case of bad powder that caused a similar issue because of the time of purchase diffrence caused me some trouble
