700P and SPS AAC-SD barrel contour?

Hi all, does anyone know off-hand if the 700P has a heavier barrel contour than a 700 AAC-SD? I have the AAC-SD now and I'm looking for a heavier contour barrel that is a bit more consistent when shooting 5-10 shot groups.

Nope, both remington's varmint contour.

they are the same contour. I was just in the market for the same thing as you, went with a krieger 5r heavy varmint. its awesome

I really like the setup I have now (AAC-SD) for deer hunting. The short barrel and relatively light weight makes it a great stand gun so I'm going to leave it as is.
I just this AM bought a 5R Milspec that I'm going to set up as a long range practical target gun. I'm going to a Thunderbeast Training course in NM in Sept and I've been trying to decide whether to get my AAC-SD worked on, buy a new gun, or have a custom built. I've decided to go with the Milspec, save some money and put it towards a really nice scope instead of buying a GAP or other high end semi-custom.
