75 AMAX out of larue 20"

Looking for some good data on a load for 75 AMAX out of a larue 20" stealth 1 in 8. I would prefer H335 or something that would meter well out of a dillon 550B. This is not my primary loader but the preffered for a big prairie dog hunt. I am open to all powders that may or may not meter well. Any help is appreciated.

I use VARGET... nothing else for me in 223 anymore. loading 24.7 with the 75 a-max and hpbt for my set up but, I wouldn't recomend it to you for yours it can be a little on the hot side.

I would guess you are shooting a bolt gun and loading with a single stage? I shoot varget out of my 308 but figure the stick powder would not meter well on a progressive press.

I never could the 75 amax to shoot very good out of my ARs, the BTHP on the other hand shot very well with 24.5 RL15, I don't know of powder that will meter well though.

From my trials and tribulations the 75gr AMAX won't load mag length so unless your single loading or doing some mag modifications try the BTHP's

This is what I've been told as well, that when the 75gr A-max is loaded to mag length part of ogive is in the case neck.

that is correct - bolt gun fine - AR mags problematic. You can go with the 75GR BTHP from Hornady and it works fine.

dumps from my hornady BR dump. but yess I love the single stage press also
