The 77's should have a lower BC because of the Ogive. You should expect a bit more wind drift and drop at distance. If you're talking about stabilization, if the 75 stabilizes, the 77 will too.
Other than that, Sierra's just generally cost more than Hornday's. Whether it has to do with materials, or consistency, or just paying for the name...maybe a little of everything.

Yes.
Each load (bullet/powder/primer/case) shoots different in each gun. Each load has to be worked up when a component changes, close weight bullets included. You should not interchange them without working up a new load. My 18" Noveske barrel likes 77smk's over 75 Hornady's. Many folks find the SMK's work better than the Hornady's. Your results may be different or the same, won't know until you try. Makes this sport fun.

+1 Each load shoots different ...
My experience is that on average (across the board) the SMK's are easier to get to shoot really well than the AMAX's. That being said, your results will vary from gun to gun and load to load.

I can't tell a spit of difference in my rifles, both are extremely accurate. Just not quite as good as the 80 grain SMK.

Just be aware that the Hornady 75gr OTM/HPBTs AND the 77gr SMKs CAN be loaded to mag length...2.260" and the 75gr AMAX cannot.

Both 75BTHP and sierra 77mk interchange in my WOA 18" SPR barrels with same everything,I don't even change the dope out to 600 yards with center mass hits..
Accuracy is a toss up,One one day the other the next..Shooter is more inconstancy than either bullet..
