77GR SMK and 14.5" AR

Anyone loading these? I've got a big box here to try, I have Varget and H4895 on hand. Looking to get as much speed as I can, don't care about brass life, I'll only use these loads for hunting and won't be picking the brass up. Looking to get max lethality out of the short .223

You might try Ramshot TAC or 8208XBR...they'll get ya to Mk262 velocities...

24.0 H4895 will get them to Mk262 speed, but a brass killer, but since you don't care it will work. Mag primers. Gave me 2850 from a 20 in rifle. actually a little faster than Mk262 in the same rifle same day.

I shoot a 14.5 Afghan with 77 smk's. 24.0 varget, CCI 41, oal 2.255, works good for me. I have only had these out to 500 but I imagine it is close to its limits. Do a little research and work your load up safely.
