7km russian sniper rifle

Hi,

Well to be honest...Vlad absolutely 100% knows his stuff.
He was trained by Speedy Gonzales IIRC in rifle building.
He then formed Tsar Cannons in Russia but was then hired aka purchased by a UAE Defense Conglomerate in which he had a direct hand in the design of what is now Caracal Rifles' sniper rifles.
He then returned back to Russia and launched Lobaev Arms.
The backing they have from Russian Defense Industry sector could absolutely accomplish what he states.

Sincerely,
Theis

Hi,

POI does not equal POA......think more along the lines of "indirect" fire firing solutions.

Sincerely,
Theis
I got some notes jotted down for a solution along those lines, been on the back burner for a long time now. Waiting for a windfall to pursue it commercially.

Just gonna say it involves a greek mathematician, some lasers, and rf communication.

I'm interested in powder , projectiles, and barrel upgrades.....

Will this actually come to be or is it another one that will fall by the wayside.... SIG is working on faster, Hoplite is also....

When do we get 5k FPS and barrels that dont burn up🤣

Hi,

Lets see....5k FPS and NOT burn up barrels, lol.....What is your take on "not" burning up?

Lobaev makes his own barrels so there is possibly no telling what he is working with :)

The projectiles he uses is nothing dramatically different than good designed monolithics..maybe he is using tungsten core to increase sectional density while keeping the projectile from being too long and the stabilization issues that comes from that..

Powder....my GUESS is they intend to "blend" powders or run duplex powder loads.

Sincerely,
Theis

Hi,

How about some International IT guys that are backed by owner of Firefly Aerospace, lolol

We are scaling this system down to integrate the new Genesis Ballistics Solutions app into it right now :)

Seems like an interesting rifle but the performance goals seem a bit far fetched.

Performance goal is suposedly a rifle with 3000m 'practical' sniping range ,7000m is the extreme range of the cartridge but mostly Hype for the media

As far as i have followed the world of ELR , current benchmark shoots are around 5000m on 1x1m target, but those hits are made on optimal conditions and after firing bunch of rounds. Not really repeatable.

Repeatable 'records' on 36'x36' targets with 3 repeated hits in a row stand around 2000m , most have been held by Mr.Tubb and Family ,so realisticaly 3000m m practical range will take some doing unless that is for 'antimaterial' use.

Going smoothbore and saboted rounds might be the ticket to extreme MV

Steyr 15.2x169 , 4750fps 310grain flechette , fired out of a 18kg semiauto rifle
The barrel was a smoothbore. trajectory peak shooting at 1000m was barely 800mm (31.4in) above line of sight. Could punch trough most APC armor at 1000m
