Just built a custom 7 mag and I am planning on shooting the A-Max's out of it. Anyone have any idea on the relationship to the lands on seating them ? I was going to just start at .01" off and maybe play with it more later but was hoping for some input first ?

Ive always found that the Amaxs dont care that much about where they are seated. I shoot a ton of these bullets. 168s 178s 162s 208s.

Yup. I find a load that feeds reliably from whatever mag I use or .010" off the lands, whichever comes first.

Yup. I find a load that feeds reliably from whatever mag I use or .010" off the lands, whichever comes first.

I seat .010 off with my 7mmRM and the 162gr. Amax.

I was planning on using H4831SC. I already have quite a bit bc I use it in other rifles as well. Data I have found looks good for it too. If I try something else I was thinking of H1000 probably.
