First day out I just shot 20 rounds of junk Winchester 140gr Core Loct without a brake. I just wanted to get through the 1 shot then clean etc break in. It didn't group for shit, I. left thre range highly disappointed. That night I loaded up 50 rounds of Hornady 185 ELDM's, I wanted to be safe and Judy get a footing on the brass so I loaded 63 gr of RL26 -.020 off the lands., I shot 5 5 shot groups and was pretty pleased with the results, all the groups were .5- .8" surpressed (Thunderbeast Ultra 9 with brake). I have a 20 MOA rail and 20 MOA base for my Nightforce so I was holding over. New zero rail will be here Saturday and I adjusted the Timney trigger, I loaded 50 more Hornady 175 ELDX's (15 with RL26, 15 with RL22 and 20 with IMR 8133). I'll report back after I shoot them with thr results. Recoil is similar to my RPR 6.5 worth a Kreiger barrel surpressed.

I would try the 180s with RL26.

I am at 3149 in my 7RM with no pressure signs. Ran them up to 3223 but had sticky bolt lift.

It’s one of my favorite cartridges.

I definitely will. Looks like RL26 and Retumbo both are going to be very hard top get for the next few months though. I bought a pound about 4 months ago to test for this build before committing to a 8 pounder. Went yesterday to get more and they were out and said they were backordered until August. That's why I picked up the RL22 and the new IMR 8133. I also grabbed a box of Berger 184's and the Horn 180's.
