7mm RUM opinions?

Hello all, I am looking at a bone stock 7 RUM to play with. Thinking bone stock action and barrel slap a new stock on it, slap my spare Elite 4200 on it and start shooting seeing how far I can shoot the 180 VLD. Once that gets burned out over haul the action, and barrel.

I have a 260 AI that I currently shoot with decent success to 1400. (dial shoot, dial shoot)

What do you think? Whats your experiences?

7 RUM will prob. be more of a dial, shoot, cool. dial shoot cool cool dial shoot cool cool cool cool , +fps = heat

In theory wouldn't it be easier to get first round hits with a higher BC bullet?

I am still a rookie I have burned out a 243 AI then converted to 260AI and it just seemed easier to shoot 600+ with higher BC bullets.
