7mm STW ?

I have been shooting a 7 STW for about 8 or so years with a Douglas AG barrel as well as a trued action and all the stuff that goes with a 700 improvement. I have all the stuff to reload and have about 700+ pieces of 7STW brass. I really like the caliber but I am kinda torn between a STW for a new build or should I swallow my pride and have a 7 WSM built ? I am a little bit old school and like the long action magnums and have made fun of a couple buddies about their "Winchester Sissy Magnums"....

This would be a tacticle build with heavy barrrel contour.

I know STW is not a popular flavor these days, but what would be the down side of a STW build ?

mine burned the kreiger barrel after 780 rds, i was pushing a 140 Nosler BST at 3600 out of a 27". loved it but it will be a 338 edge soon.
keep yours a STW and melonite the barrel for longer throat life.

thanks for the input..
I've been pretty easy on mine so far .... 160gr at 3150 fps for the majority of its life.
