Gunsmithing 7mm08 to 308

I have a model seven remington in 7mm08 I would like it to be a .308. Can I just swap the barrels out and everything will be alright? Do I need to do anything else? Thanks tommy Vaughn

Swap barrels and make sure it head spaces.

beat me to it... my guess would be that the OP isn't a reloader? Curious to hear as well.

I have a lot of components to reload a .308.

How many is a lot. It would take A LOT to pay to switch. The 308 is a good round- but the 7-08 is much better, especially if you reload. I would keep it 7-08.
