Im looking for a magazine that works with the CDI bottom metal for a 7WSM. Ive notice many of the mags around, hang down pretty far. As this will be a hunting rifle, i dont want a real long mag hanging down. Are there any lower profile magazines out there? The rifle is a Tikka and i like how the factory mag is low profile, but it doesnt work with CDI bottom metal.

i have a curious question. if you already had a factory dbm system that did not hang too low, why did you swap it out for cdi bottom metal?

Went with a manners stock that requires the CDI bottom.

you can get a Aics cut down and welded back together
probably end up with a $125 to $150 mag
it would definately be shorter and pretty close to flush

Will the AICS mags work with WSM rounds? Or will that be more modifaction? Are there any threads you know of discussing the customizing of the AICS mags you mentioned above?

Alpha Industries makes WSM specific mags. They look and function well. I bought a few for my new build. Check them out.

Alpha is the mag that i was going to go with, but after seeing a couple im concerned with how far down the mag sits. From what ive seen they go down to the bottom of trigger guard or lower, thats just to much for me.
