New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I asked this about 300 Whisper years ago when my POS carbon fiber suppressor blew up and someone with quickload punched in the numbers for me. I think it was ~8000 psi, or roughly the same as a 308 Win with a 24" barrel.
I've heard from a guy that melted down a TTF can that he ran it for several hours off and on with a 10.5" full auto to the point of the internals rattling loosely inside. I won't say names but it made me feel much more confident that my Archangel will be just fine on anything less than full auto. Take it for what it's worth. 300 BLK has much less muzzle pressure than 5.56 at equal barrel lengths. I think TBAC has some info on this. Even though it's not their can, they could probably give you a good idea of muzzle pressures with 300 BLK vs. 5.56.
I ended up shooting a bunch of Supers from the 8.5 with the Brake Attach non-SBR ARK30. 110 Barnes and 155 sierra's. It didn't give a shit about it. No damage to the can is evident.
