I have a Rem 700 mountain rifle long action (.35 Whelen), can it be rebarreled to 9.3x62?

Yes it can. It is basically the 06 shortened and necked to .366. Great cartridge.

While it certainly can be rebarreled to 9.3x62mm (Great Cartridge), the 35Whelen is no slouch either.

look into re boaring (cutrifle.com) this will save alot of work.
