Suppressors 9mm in a .45 can?

I use an Osprey 45 on a 9mm. probably 90% 9mm and 10% .45. never had an issue. sound reduction is hearing safe running 147g 9mm. What are your specific concerns? I purposely purchased the 45 can even when all I had at the time was a 9mm so that I would have the flexibility to transition to a .45 in the future. Glad I did.

I don’t own any .45 threaded pistols but shoot a lot of 9mm through my Octane 45.

I personally like having the option and modularity. So .45 can for 9mm and .30 cal can for .223 is how I roll.

Function has been flawless although it gets dirty quicker (expected anytime you use a supressor). I didn't have to change any recoil springs in the handguns. I do have a neilsen (booster) in the osprey 45 even though I am shooting a Beretta which doesn't have the lock tilt barrel design and supposedly doesn't require a booster. All in all, it has functioned perfectly well and I am quite happy I purchased a Osprey 45 instead of a Osprey 9. The biggest drawback is changing the booster out when I want to swap from the Beretta 9mm to my HK45 due to the thread patterns being different between my two handguns. 9mm is 1/2x28 and the HK is a 16x1 LH.

I would have gone for the osprey 45 except for I found a really good promotional price on the 9mm model right before the 41F rush so I went with it while I easily could and the getting was good.

Short of getting out a meter I dont think youll have any concerns in running a smaller caliber through a larger.

I’ve got an Osprey 45 and I’ve never put mine on a 45 yet. That said it’s ran perfect on my 9mm pistols that I have threaded barrels for. Just get the right booster for your pistol and you’ll be good to go.

If I had it to do over I would have gotten a round can instead of the Osprey. Not that it doesn’t work but the stock sights on most my pistols don’t clear on the Osprey even with the offset. Plus I like the round look better on rifles for a pistol caliber carbine.

I shoot smaller calibers in my .30 rifle can with no problem. So my question is does shooting a 9mm through a ..45 can work without any issues? Osprey and TiRant cans.

My Osprey .45 goes on all my 9mm and .45 ACP pistols, works fine. Bought a Rugged Obsidian in .45ACP (In NFA Jail) to do the same thing. Looking back, I wouldn't buy a 9mm can, too limiting.

Probably 3k+ 9mm thorugh my TiRant 45--no issues and pretty good suppression. I run it on 9mm and 45 pistols and carbines. Just be sure you use the fixed barrel spacer if on a carbine; it5 will still work but told it can be tough on the can.
