Re: a bit of uso and lwrc porn :)

Very nice. What are the specs on the scope and rifle? Gonna get a can? Ive always wanted a LW gun. A friend of mine awhile back took the LW armorers course. Even though he was a dyed in the wool DI AR guy he did it to broaden his gunsmithing skill set. Suffice it to say he came back a believer and has been an LW fan boy ever since.

its a lwrc 6.8 w/ the 16 inch barrel. i believe it has the 1-10 twist w/ the spec 2 chamber. the scope is a uso 1.8-10 tpal w/ erek moa and moa windage w/ the moa reticle. it wasn't my ideal set up but i got it for a steal and it seems to work nice w/ the rifle so far.

lol also i swear that scope is od green not bling bling gold. if only i was a better photographer

Does the scope sit right for you? Seems like the scope overhangs the back of the receiver a bit, though the Larue mount is all the way forward on the receiver and it doesn't look like you could slide the scope forward in the rings. I typically run the end of the ocular piece pretty close to the back end of the receiver. Have been thinking this would be the perfect AR scope--wondering about the position, though.

Nice set up, regardless.

You could use an SPR mount to put the scope where you want it. I'm in the same boat as you, I mount all my optics on ARs in a position that allows me to place my head exactly where I would if the iron sights were there. For example, here is how I had my NXS mounted on my AR10:

lol if only larue made a spr mount that fit the tpal. this is the only mount they make as of right now for the tpal uso's. if my rails lined up a little better which for some reason on the lwrc they look perfect but its a tiny bit off otherwise i could get it further out there. i think next month i will order a larue 5/8 th riser and some badger rings and see if i can get it out there more. but for now it works not perfect but i will get it there

Shit, I forgot the SPR series didn't work with Tpals. I think someone here mentioned they are working on one that will right now. If the LT-101 riser rail + rings doesn't work out (it should, it has a large forward rail section. Since the SPR mounts aren't available with 35mm rings people are using the 101 rail to mimic an SPR also) you could call/email them on the status of the new mounts.
