Hey guys, still in the waiting queue for my form1 to be approved and looking at different designs to see what direction I take this can. Hindsight, probably should've form 4'd a proven design, but that wait was a deterrent. I'll probably get that form 4 started sooner than later. I'm looking to suppress my 300BLK pistol. AR platform, all AERO parts, 8.5" barrel. The suppressor will have to be 8" max length. Looking at the design of the SiCo Saker to base my build off of. I can get the Griffin brake and matching mount to attach the can. I'm reading over at silencertalk and the form1 boards, but my head is spinning a little. Does anyone have any experience with SPC's Pro storage dividers? Should I stick with 60* cones instead? Some say clip, some say don't and if so, what type of clip to use. Sounds like the Pro cups don't have enough material to clip. Can't really call these places and ask suppressor questions because the ATF will kick down all of our doors. I have filed for my Form 1 and haven't purchased any components remotely similar to a suppressor part, and will not until I have an approved tax stamp for that suppressor. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated so I don't throw money away.

Another design I found with a google search, not sure whose design this is, but I should be able to build something very close to this, however, I've seen mention of a smaller blast chamber being more effective. Don't know how accurate that is:

Thank you for the reply reubenski. I'm sure I will be doing form 4's sooner than later because I anticipate wanting to suppress other rifles as well and I figure trying to build one do-it-all can will result in mediocre results across the board. For now, I think it's best to concentrate on building the most efficient can for one weapon. Unfortunately for me, the 30cal Quietbore is 9" and my submitted form1 application specifies an 8" can. I have no idea what the process or wait time would be to amend that. I actually asked that very question last week using the "ask the experts" function, but never got a response from them. I also see that Quietbore requires the approved stamp prior to purchase, which is fine, but I'd not be able to legally own the thing being longer than the specs on the stamp as far as I know. I imagine they wouldn't even sell a 9" can to someone with a stamp for an *" can. The quiet bore kit looks like the easiest one for sure, I'll see about amending my stamp and go from there.
