A couple more possibly silly questions about my upcoming barrel choice.

For bench rest mostly 50 to 100 yards how many groves (4,5 or 6) should I look for in a 22lr barrel?
Should any given match chamber work with a CZ action and mags? Seems like this is silly cause they should all feed into the same spot. I realise that match chambers can cause other problems.
Should I just close my eyes and get a Benz chamber?

No on the Benz chamber

The Bentz chamber is about as tight as you can go and still extract a live round.

Benchrest I would like at the Winchester 52 or eley depending on ammo.

May I ask your experience on the Benz chamber? I realize it is designed for a semi auto as oppossed to a bolt action. Have you used it with a bolt?

Thanks Chevy Man. I am planning on buying a Bartlein barrel. They have the SAMMI 22lr, match and sporter chambers Benz chambers and a proprietary Bartlein 22 match. As often as I would have to extract an unfired round I frankly am thinking about the Bartlein chamber.

I wonder if they would make a 1:14 5r barrel with the right diameters for 22lr. Supposedly that twist would work extremely well with 40gr subsonic loads(basically all match ammo) and the 5r might stay clean with lead heads.
