First off I'm looking for a trigger for my Remington LTR 700. I want it to be two-stage, alot like my RRA trigger but adjustable below 1 lbs of pull. I'm thinking 1/2lbs-3lbs would be good. I've done some searching myself and as for price? Sky's the limit, I'd like to know what my options are.

Second is that I'd like to get a DBM for my LTR as well. Do I have to have it modified so it will fit or are there any that don't require modification? I want to use AICS magazines if possible. Thanks.

Re: A couple questions...

A 2 stage is not going to have a light pull. It adds the disconnecter spring weight
to the trigger spring weight. Swedish mausers have them so no reason you can't
have one on a 700. So if you are talking about adding 1/2 to 1 lb pull weight to
the existing pull weight that's how they work. However if you shoot up there in
the winter I am not so sure you'll be able to feel the second stage if it's that light.

Ummm, there's no disconnector in a boltgun 2 stage.....
Your theory is fine for Garands, but go try a Anschutz match (or a CG Jackson 2 stage) if you'd care to feel what a 2-stage sub-16oz trigger in a boltgun feels like.

OP-if you want a scary light 2 stage, I'd look at the CG Jackson trigger. Anschutz's hung on Briley adapters for 700's have been around for many moons, but the alum adapter's pin holes can get wollered over time and mess with the sear engagement.

Re: A couple questions...

I've looked at those CG's they're nice. Wondering what other options might be out and about. I currently am using a single stage trigger that breaks at 3 lbs and I want it lighter as well as a two stage. Thanks for the link as well.

Re: A couple questions...

CG, they are awesome.

You could also look at the Hubber triggers, but I think they are more of a field trigger than an ultra-light pull.

You will not be disappointed in a CG, period. Did I say that they were awesome?
