A nice option for lighter barrels

I recently received a request to Vortex flute a lighter barrel that was already coated in Black Cerakote.
Makes for a nice contrast and a good option for lighter barrels. As always, thanks for checking it out. ;D

Hey boltfluter , I am seriously considering sending a kreiger mtu and rem bolt soon. I work in a family owned machine shop I'm not afraid of strait fluting my kreiger but I want the spiral ! We are old school , is that done on a Cnc lathe w live tooling?

.725 at the muzzle which would be very close to a Bull Sporter.

A minimum of 3 passes, depending on the original contour of the barrel.

Thanks Paul, I will be heading out your way early summer. Idaho is calling my name. When i get settled in i hope to have a chance to meet up with you. By the way, are you going to offer the fluting sometime that we talked about that Kelblys did for me on the rifles they built for me. If you need what ever it is you use to do this style fluting let me know and maybe we can work something out if you want.
