This may have come up before and I missed it, if so, sorry to open old wounds.
I have seen a few articles about a conflict between some SJW Council Woman and predominantly Oriental business owners in some"risky" areas about taking down the Plexiglass barriers between the cashiers and the patrons? as it hurts their "feelers" and they feel demeaned or some such shit.
This can't really be happening or is it?
I go to convenience stores in my area like 7/11 and others and expect to see Plexiglass at the counters and think nothing of it. If I worked there I would want someplace to get behind if bad shit went down as I am sure it does on occasion, I would be pissed if it were not there and double pissed in some locations.
What goes down if all barriers are removed and you as a cashier are just out there as an open target?
I am hoping that Our Guru Turban from Philly can shed some light on this as I see it as one of the stupidest moves I have ever heard of.
I also know that I am not hearing all of the story from both sides and their thinking behind it all and I never judge a book by it's cover, but I am starting to waiver a bit from that.
Any of you from that area, please help me out on this as I am not understanding why the Government can tell you why you cannot protect yourself and run your business as you see fit. Regards, FM
PS As an aside, those Plexiglass barriers also help to protect the cashiers from sick, coughing and sneezing patrons also and the Flu is going around.

I thought he may have but I didn't know, hence, my opening line.
I am not good at finding things like that as I struggle with all of this computer shit, but am working on that.
Thank you and I hope that Veer links it up as I could not believe what I read. FM

Yeah, feelings have always been bent between Asian shopkeepers and the predominately black residents of certain neighborhoods. Puerto Rican neighborhoods tend to have Dominican corner stores East of Broad Street and North of Girard Avenue, but most of them really are corner stores. The black neighborhoods have what are referred to as "beer delis," or "cold beers." They're ostensibly restaurants, but have a lot of convenience store features, and package licenses on top of that, so they sell small quantity servings of sealed beer, and some of them skirt the rules and sell hard liquor by the shot. Some are really just outright bars, and hardly have any food at all, but most of them serve up a lot of fried seafood, steak sandwiches, french fries, bad-for-you comfort food.

The thrust of what transpired is that a City Councilwoman named Bass, with some heavy backing from our Communist Mayor and Socialist Governor, pitched a butt-hurt bitch-fit about feeling insulted by the "bulletproof" plexiglass dividers present in them, and they engineered City legislation to make them disappear or diminish, in places required to have a certain seating capacity by state law, by a certain date through the offices of Licenses & Inspections. Frankly, only the Chinese and the Koreans are willing to march in there and set up, and losing the barriers is going to result in more deaths, and, eventually, the disappearance of businesses from the inner city. As such, it's an exclusionary, prejudicial move on the part of the majority in the city, who can scarcely manage to replace any of the goods and services currently offered. It's Sal's Pizza from "Do the Right Thing" all over again, except it's for real. Hood rats don't eat quinoa and mesclun salads, no matter how much Volvo Liberals click their Birkenstock heels together and wish.

Here's my original thread: https://www.snipershide.com/shootin...ulletproof-glass-bill-ban-possible-in-3-years And no, it doesn't come up on our own site search. I had to Google it.

Thanks Veer, I figured you would know what was going on, and you do. I did try to search it but I am really a computer dummy,ie so didn't have much luck but I am working on that. Maybe some day I will get really smart and be able to post pictures and link things but it will not happen soon. My mind just does not run that fast with all of these new-fangled zoomerinos.
From what I have been able to find and read, I see this as one of the worst Fuck-ups I have ever read about creating a problem where one did not exist until she pushed her snout into it. Who is going to replace these stores when she runs them out of business? Who wants to do business down there anyway and the ones that have the intestinal fortitude to do so should not be told by the Government as to how they keep things secure and themselves secure.
Here in Colorado we have a Rep. in State Congress named Rhonda Fields D Den. who I think would follow along on these coat tails if she knew how to read. Read up about her. A convicted felon in the Statehouse if I remember correctly and no lover of any 2nd. Amd. rights. A real fecal piece of work.
Thanks, I will read all you linked up and try to keep an open mind as I don't know where she is coming from or why, she needs to tell me her side of the story. Regards, FM
