Suppressors A question for law enforcement

I'd like to ask any members that are in law enforcement how they handle a difference in their state law vs a federal one such as this new one going around about the gun rights bill by passing the ATF class 3 & 4
if I was a resident of your state that allowed suppressors but you new Feds dident with out the tax stamp how would you handle this ?

I'd really like to know how California police handle pot !!

Local law enforcement shouldn't be enforcing federal law anyway. Thus why there are 12 million illegals here.

i am a leo in south carolina and honestly i hope it passes. Then the people that should have class 3 could have them and equal the thugs that has them and are breaking the law now. I also think it will make some police departments aquire the much needed training and maybe even the firearms they need. just my .02!!!!!! And another thing with my old department they didnt want us to do anything with the illegals??????????? why who knows, i was told to much work for the upper chain and cost to much to house till the feds pick them up.

Local law enforcement do not enforce federal laws.

You think they go to cop school and not only learn the laws of their jurisdiction but also learn the federal laws?

As stated, unless a member of a task force and sworn in as a Federal Agent, a state LEO does not possess the legal authority to enforce Federal law. The most they could do would be to detain someone and contact an agent to see if they wanted to handle the investigation.
