I just purchased an R700 SPS tactical AAC-SD (.308) and I still need a scope. Can anyone tell me which scope they recommend that won't set me back a bunch. I'm working with a $300 limit for now. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
John

+1 on the SS rear focus.

Also consider:

Just remember, a decent base and set of rings will cost you 80 to 100 bucks.

Excellent base at an excellent price:

Decent rings, but make sure you order the right size for whatever scope you do buy (1 inch or 30mm):

Bushnell 3200 tactical. Straight 10x which will be plenty of power out to 1000 yds and 80 min of elevation. Put it on an EGW 20 moa base and you can kill worms WAY out there.

Judging by the title of this thread that is not something he was wanting to hear.

I also would say the SS fixed 10X is also a good scope for the money.
