Two cities. Logan, Utah and Brooklyn, NY. Two motorcyclists, both pinned underneath vehicles after colliding with them. Two very different reactions by "by-standers" and two very different outcomes.

Logan City, Utah

Brooklyn, New York

A tip of the hat to those folks out in Utah.

Re: A Tale Of Two Cities

Damn sad commentary on the paralysis of bystanders in the face of a terrible collision.

I find it absolutely predatory Scavenger-like, that the primary interest of so many is to film the event while no one makes an effort to comfort the young man in his last moments.

ETA;

I had a good friend who was thrown from his car when he flipped it, several times, while screwing around when taking an exit from a highway, back in May of 1977. The car came to rest on top of him and he lived for perhaps an hour until the car was lifted off of him. He died at the scene.

Re: A Tale Of Two Cities

I ain't no lawyer, but that old broad SHOULD be charged with:

Aggrevated homicide with a weapon.
--a motor vehicle is as much of a weapon as a knife, axe, or firearm. Simply a mechanical device.

Murder in the (whatever) degree.
--don't know how ya'll do it down there, but she's responsible for his miserable death.

Felony Stupid
--I really don't have to justify that statement, do I?

This is coming from the perspective of one who was also on a bike, whom got "turned into" by oncoming traffic and who was lucky (Blessed) to still be alive. In that accident, I should have been killed 3 different ways (due to 3 different reasons) I lived, and am still trying to put my life back together.

But for idiots like this, whom cause this much damage, and get practically no penalties for doing such...... it really SHOULD BE DIFFERENT. If one were to use an axe to the same end, what would the charges be?

Remember, either way it happened,,,, the guy was just driving down the road. Think of that, ya'll.... next time you're "just driving down the road.

It really CAN happen to you. Now, back to my theme-song:

"Flying through the air,,,, with the greatest of ease..... " You figure out the rest. And the flying don't bother you much. It's the landing that you notice. Then the bouncing. Fire sucks too.

===apologies,,, but a nerve has definitely been struck.

Re: A Tale Of Two Cities

WTF!!! Doesn't anybody in Brooklyn have a damned jack for a car? It wouldn't have taken 3 minutes to get the f'ing jack out of the trunk and lift the damn car off the guy..

But no! Nothing but a bunch of worthless ass MF'ers...

Re: A Tale Of Two Cities

In the new york video the "professionals" jacked the rear of the car without blocking the front tires & it crashed back down on the victim?? WTF? Looks like the Utah citizens are smarter than those supposedly trained to help in that case above. Holy crap.
